Privacy policy
This page describes the processing of personal data carried out on decouvre.bj, under Book V of law no. 2017-20 of 20 April 2018 establishing the digital code of the Republic of Benin.
Last updated: 21 August 2026
What we collect
Only one process collects data: the waiting list form. It records your email address, the proof of your consent and its date, the language of the page when you signed up, and your answer to the question about objecting to marketing. Nothing else.
What we do not collect
The site sets no trackers and does not measure its audience. Neither your IP address, nor your browser fingerprint, nor the page you came from is recorded. That is why you are not shown a consent banner.
Why we collect it
To tell you when the booking platform launches, planned for the first half of 2027. That is the only purpose. Answering is optional: without an address, we simply cannot tell you.
On what basis
On your consent, collected through a box that is unticked by default and kept separate from the rest of the form. You may withdraw it at any time, as easily as you gave it.
For how long
Until the launch announcement is sent. Once it has gone out, the purpose is met and your address is deleted. Unsubscribing deletes it immediately.
Who has access
DECOUVRE.BJ, as data controller, and Global Consulting Technology, which operates the site on its behalf as a processor. No data is sold, rented or passed on.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, erase, object and restrict, as well as the right to withdraw your consent. These requests are free. Write to contact@decouvre.bj: we reply within thirty days for an objection, forty-five days for a correction or erasure, and sixty days for access.
Complaints
If you believe your rights are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with the Benin personal data protection authority (APDP).
Security
The site is served over HTTPS only. Access to the database is restricted. Should a data breach be likely to harm you, you will be informed without delay, as will the APDP.
Minors
Processing the data of a person under sixteen requires the consent of the holder of parental authority. This form is not intended for anyone under sixteen.
